SALES STAFF


P.J. Arling, President   

P.J. Arling, President of Arling Lumber, began his career with Arling Lumber in1974 working part-time while in school. After graduation from the University of Notre Dame in 1982, P.J. joined American Financial Corporation as a Corporate Tax Accountant. In 1983, he returned to Arling Lumber as a Sales and Management Trainee. P.J. was named Vice-President in 1990 and later President in 1999. P.J. and his sister, Rita, are the third generation owners of Arling Lumber. P.J. is married with three college age sons. His hobbies include swimming, biking, running and participating in triathlons.



Rita Arling, Vice-President   

Rita Arling, Vice-President of Arling Lumber, began her career with Arling Lumber in 1986. A native of Cincinnati, Rita graduated from Xavier University and worked in the retail industry before joining Arling Lumber in sales. Rita is married with two grade school children. In addition, to supporting her children in their various school and athletic activities, Rita just finished her 2nd trip around the world on her stationary spinning bike.



G.C. Clark, Account Manager   

G.C. Clark , Account Manager, began his career in the lumber industry in 1967 with the Allison Lumber/American Can Company in Ludlow, KY (current site of the Arling Lumber Engineered Wood Facility). In 1982, after the Arling Lumber purchase of the Ludlow location, G.C. joined the Arling Sales Team. G.C’s hobbies include Chevrolet Muscle Cars and Corvettes.



Bill Hajek, Account Manager   

Bill Hajek a St. Louis, MO native, earned a BS degree in Forest Science and Specialization from the University of Missouri/Columbia. Bill began his sales career at Kaplan Lumber, a St. Louis area lumber and building materials distributor. He then spent 10 years with PrimeSource/Sequoia Supply in sales, sales management, and distribution center management positions. Bill joined the Arling sales team as an account manager in 1993. Bill is married with two grown children. He enjoys golf, fly fishing, and tinkering with computers.



Mike McNamara, Account Manager   

Mike McNamara is a 1979 graduate of Penn State University with a
BS degree in Forest Products/Wood Technology. After graduation, he joined Champion Building Products as a sales trainee in Cleveland, OH then transferred to Cincinnati in outside sales. In 1981, Mike joined Arling Lumber. Mike has national account and co-op sales responsibilities as well as sales to independent lumber dealers in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky. Mike enjoys golf, reading, gardening, and following sports, especially the local sports teams and Nittany Lion football.



Dave Scheid, Account Manager   

Dave Scheid, Account Manager, began his lumber career right out of high school working at Wickes Lumber. In 1986, Dave moved to the wholesale side as Vice President at Midwestern Wholesale. In 1992, he joined Arling Lumber. Dave is recently re-married; he keeps busy with six children and 3 grandchildren. Life is full of change. A dear friend gave me this quote: "The man who is resistant to change has taken the first step toward his own destruction". You have heard, if you want the job done give it to a busy person - well, you have done just that! I have no magic or guarantees, but give you my promise to work hard to get you the product you need at a competitive price. If you stick with me, we'll both get the results we want. Quality work is never an accident, but a result of intelligent and well planned effort. Your suggestions are welcome because I am open to change!



Mike Stieritz, Account Manager   

Mike Stieritz, Account Manager, graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in business in the 70’s. He has been in the lumber business for 30 years and loves the friends he has made in the lumber industry. Mike joined the Arling Team in 1993 and says it is the best company he has ever worked for. Mike stays very active with his three grandchildren, playing golf and volleyball, and working out at the gym.



ENGINEERED WOOD DESIGN & CUSTOMER SERVICE


Jerry Jacob, Engineered Wood Products Manager   

Jerry Jacob, Engineered Wood Products Manager, graduated from Northern Kentucky University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management. Jerry began his Arling Lumber career in 1996 as an intern. After graduation, he stepped into a full time position as an Engineered Wood Designer. In 2009, Jerry was promoted to Engineered Wood Products Manager. Jerry is passionate about working with customers to put together successful EWP programs and projects. In his free time, Jerry enjoys working on his family’s farm, A.T.V. riding, hunting, fishing, and doing anything in the great outdoors.




Ken Drury, Engineered Wood Products Designer   

Ken Drury, Engineered Wood Products Designer, is a father of three who began his career in the lumber and building material business in 1987.  He has worked for several building material retailers in the Greater Cincinnati area.  After two years away working as a store manager for an auto parts company, Ken returned to the lumber business with the Arling Lumber Company in June of 2011.  In his free time Ken likes to kayak, camp, ride his bike and play golf.



LOGISTICS


Sheila Teegarden-Callen, Logistics Manager   

Sheila Teegarden-Callen, Logistics Manager, joined Arling Lumber in 2007. She has eight years of transportation experience and currently manages inbound and outbound freight for Arling Lumber. Sheila is a graduate of Thomas More College with a BBA in Management, Bachelor of Elected Studies, and an Associates of Elected Studies. Sheila is currently working on becoming a certified Six-Sigma (Lean Manufacturing) Black Belt. Among her many hobbies, Sheila enjoys reading, camping, and cheering on the University of Kentucky Wildcats.
